The Huntsville Stars are a minor league baseball team of the Southern League and are the Double-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers. They are located in in Huntsville, Alabama and are named for NASA operations at the nearby Marshall Space Flight Center. The team plays their home games at Joe W. Davis Stadium, named after the former mayor of Huntsville; built in 1985, the park seats 10,200 fans and is sometimes referred to as "The Joe." |  |

Throughout
the years, Huntsville Speedway's name has changed several times, but the
competition at the little quarter-mile track nestled at the foot of Green
Mountain hasn't. Before a complete remodeling of the Speedway this year,
the biggest change was the different names the track has been called, including
Sportsmen's Speedway, Huntsville International Speedway, Huntsville Motor
Speedway and today Huntsville Speedway. |

| Tennessee Valley Vipers | The
Tennessee Valley Vipers are Huntsville, Alabama's Arena Football 2 franchise,
holding home games at the Von Braun Center. The team existed from 2000
to 2004, and during that period was one of af2's most competitive teams.
Owner and operator of the team was Art Clarkson. However, following the
2004 season the team left the af2 and migrated to the United Indoor Football
league, changing their nickname to the Tennessee Valley Pythons. |
